Tried to post this about two weeks ago and couldn't whoops!

Hello Everybody! Sorry we are sooo delayed in updating our blog. Most of you have facebook, so there are LOTS of pictures there. It's hard to upload several pictures at once at home. Right now I (Lacey) am in Washington visiting "Grandpa and Grandma" with Malachi. We surprised them with a flight down here while Jeremy flew a 6 seater plane from Minneapolis to Naknek. Here are several pictures from month 2 to now.....He just turned 4 months old! And learning lots of new things! He can now roll over both ways, but hardly stays on his back now a days. He LOVES sucking on his hands....teething perhaps? He squeals, laughs, giggles, smiles lots and is generally a happy baby. He has that the TV and Computer is quite entertaining. He knows how to get his own way. Sleeps all night....but isn't much of a napper. We are loving being parents!




At my Naknek Baby Shower

This was after baby's first real small airplane flight. We went to Ekwok, a village about a 30 minute flight away from Naknek. He slept pretty much the whole time, so we don't really know what he thinks. He doesn't mind commercial flights, which has been great!

April 26th our lives changed forever! And we love it!! :)

Malachi was born at 4:53 pm in Arlington, WA at the same hospital that I (Lacey) was born... And he was born two days before my birthday! He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long.

Monday, the 25th we had gone down to Seattle to meet our new nephew as Jeremy's sister had just had her baby, Carter, two days before that! (yeah for cousins!) That night at about midnight I had my first contraction and was wondering if that's what they really were....an hour later I woke up Jeremy, because I was pretty sure then. We started timing them and they were picking up, but not super close together. Neither one of us slept the rest of the night and woke up my parent's at 4:30. At 6 we arrived at the hospital. Then my contractions seems to slow a bit, but we were just thankful to be at the hospital at that point. The rest of the day was spent waiting it out, making it through contractions and that's about it. :) Baby was born that afternoon (almost evening) :)

Even though we are lacking on sleep and there has been trials, we are loving Malachi SOOO much! Life is pretty wonderful. :) We are enjoying being home at my parent's house. We'll be headed back up to Alaska shortly after our 5 week appointment. Looking foward to showing him off to our Alaska family.

Spring baby will be here before we know it!

Happy Spring Everyone!

In Alaska, it may be Spring by calendar, but not by weather. However, we have had three weeks of almost straight sunshine with temps in the upper 20's- high 30's. Not too bad!

As of Friday, I (Lacey) arrived in Arlington, WA to await the arrival of "Little Guy!" Jeremy joins me on the 4th (of April)...can't wait to see him and it's only been three days! We can't believe that baby will be here in a month. It's been so fun collecting baby things and can't wait to use them! Things have been busy in Alaska. Jeremy finished the annual on the Cessna 175, the mission plane up there, so he is thankful to be done with that. As of February, we have had an MTI student on internship up there with us, as he is interested in mission aviation. MTI is the 3rd year of the Bible School that I attended, standing for Ministry Training Institute.

This was during "Winterfest" weekend. Here we had a hotdog roast on a lake...yes, on a lake. :-D

And during Winterfest, they have an annual "Penguin Dip" (similar to the polar bear plunge.) Whatever you want to call it, brr...

It's about a 10x10 whole to jump into. Whoever does it the fastest, wins.

A Much Overdue Post :)

Wow everyone, sorry for being so long in updating this thing! :) The last five months have just flown by since being up here. We have enjoyed our time so far and can't believe it's already 2011. Many exciting things have happened, the number one being the anticipated arrival of "Little Guy" in late April. Only a few months away! As you all know, we are expecting our first child... (if you didn't know that I am SO sorry!) Everything is going well, and mom and baby are fine and dandy. He has started to move around quite a bit and yesterday he was really active. It's fun to feel him. So far he hasn't kept me (Lacey)...or Jeremy for that matter....awake yet.
The first month or so, I (L) didn't do a whole lot as I was dealing with some morning sickness, but now that I am feeling better, I am definetly in the nesting stage! :-D I have been researching online and reading books, looking at name ideas, and finished our registries the other day. Jeremy has kept plenty busy between being involved here at the radio station, church activities, random projects, being "Mr. Fix It" on just about anything you can think of, and also doing some flying.

Here is something fairly new- 4-D ultrasound! SO amazing!! We were able to see his whole body, but only captured half his body in this pic. He is on his side and you can see his little bottom, leg and arm. Here he was only about 12 oz or so. Now he should be a pound and a half or so.

21 or 22 weeks- can't remember. :)

Here are some Ptarmagin that showed up at the station in mid September. If you look closely you can see some white on them. During the Summer/Fall they are brown, but start to turn white for Winter. Just the other day I saw several of them and they were completly white and really pretty. We hear they taste good too. :)

The end of September, Jeremy and I had the privelage of helping out with a Fall Retreat for the youth of the area. By Area, we mean, surrounding villages too. About 1/2 the kids were from here in Naknek/King Salmon, but the other half were flown in. Praise the Lord for nice weather for the pilots. It was a very fun weekend and it's nice to be able to get all the youth together.

This is a picture of the church in the village of Egegik (pronounced Ig-a-gik) - about a half hour or so flight from here. This fall Jeremy, Bob Lee (radio station manager) and Pastor Jeff flew there to check out some of the radio equipment. We are able to broadcast to several surrounding villages. Isn't technology something else?

Welcome to Winter! I don't remember when this picture was taken, but it was probably the end of October or beginning of November. Winter seems to go on for quite a while here (especially since it's only January), but boy, it sure is beautiful when the sun is shining, and everything is covered with sparkling snow or ice. We have had many sunning days, for which we are grateful. Especially when it is about 2 degrees with a windchill of -30 or -40!

We'll be headed down to Washington State for the birth, so we look foward to being around family and friends. Sounds like it will be a busy next couple of months until then, especially for Jeremy.
